Granite Bay Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (83-3635273) that promotes martial arts (Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, wrestling) and chess education for health, fitness, mental health, and social reasons. We advocate for the mainstream use of martial arts and chess study.
Through the mainstream application of developmental concepts at the core of these highly structured and rigorous practices, we promote:
- Anti-bullying.
- After-school program options for low-income and at-risk youth.
- Self-defense and empowerment for girls and women.
- Injury-prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery for all ages.
- Deep critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Developing well-adjusted youth by raising confidence through ability and accomplishment, and by instilling respect for themselves and their community.
- Community improvement through engagement and service.
Families with incomes less than $47,250/year (varies based on household size) are eligible for scholarship assistance for kids under eighteen. All information is strictly confidential.
